payroll processing/administration,

workplace assessor

i worked almost 23 years for the queensland government in various positions and finally found my niche when i was given payroll to do. from there it was working on the treasury department whole payroll and then specifically looking after the revenue earning areas of the department. this meant liaising with clients about the payroll problems, fixing problems, undertaken job evaluations for anywhere in the treasury department, undertaking recruitment for anywhere in the department, maintaining our quality assurance documents, learning new payroll systems, human resource systems and quality assurance systems.

i did a stint in recruitment where i advertised/closed positions, sat on panels if required, did up the appointment/unsuccessful documentation. i have had to do staff inductions for new staff to the organisation.

there was a time when i was required to manage the recruitment program for queensland treasury - again this meant logging applications, sorting them into the areas that requested a graduate, shortlisting with them as i was the panel member, doing up the successful documentation/unsuccessful documentation, running an induction program for the new graduates.

i was the worplace rehabilitation coordinator and managed that program to get injured/sick employees back to work as quickly as possible. as well as that i was a workplace assessor and assessed employees work so they could become certified and with the relevant certificate/qualifiation, receive a pay increase.

i am a home duties female and am looking to go back to uni this year to start a masters in human resources. i haven't been working since 2005 as a result of being ill health retired from my position because i couldn't do the training aspect of the job fully and because of some other issues that were affecting my work performance.

i have a bachelor of business (human resource practices and government) 1999, from university of southern queensland and in my last position i was having a great time as i was finally in a position that allowed me to use most of my human resource skills i had got from university.

my hubby and i are distributors of neways international products and am trying hard as possible to build up this business. if anyone has any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated. our web site is in development stage so you can go to the groups web - www.providingchoices.com.au, guest password - choices and have a look around and leave a message for me if you are interested in anything. the products are great to use and a little goes a long way with them all.
