Being involved in the Hire My Mum community is easy and fun, these are some of the ways you can get involved;

Forums The forums are a great place to have a chat, a laugh and even a cry. They are a wealth of information and high spirited frivolity. Posting is as simple as selecting the 'new post' button or 'reply' on an existing post.

Live Chat At Hire My Mum you can participate in live chats (real time typed conversations) with other members. To access the live chat click the 'Live Chat' link on the menu at the very top right hand corner of the site.

Shout Box The shout box lets you flag someone's attention from the welcome page, it is useful for calling people into the live chat lounge.

Job Boards The job boards are available to fully financial subscribers and approved business clients only.

Invite Friends By inviting friends to join Hire My Mum you are helping to grow the community into Australia's number one site for work at home mums & employers looking for talented teleworkers.

Friends Request
Within the Hire My Mum community you can request another member to become your friend. Click on a persons profile picture to be taken to their personal profile page, on every profile page are a list of menus for contacting the member. In this instance choose Friends Request. That member will receive an email notifying them of the request. If the member wants to accept your request they will approve it from their profile page, just as you would if you were approving a friends request. Then your profile pictures will appear in each others list of friends within your profile.

Put up our brochure You can help promote Hire My Mum around Australia by requesting marketing material to be sent to you in PDF format. You can print and hang them up in local coffee shops, supermarkets, notice boards and meeting rooms. Thanks in advance for this one!

Bookmarking Bookmarking is one of those 'latest things' that make us realise we have to keep up with our kids. Bookmarking is a simple way of helping Hire My Mum gain visibility on your Facebook, Yahoo etc networks, by putting a link on your profile. You can even bookmark your own HMM profile on your Facebook etc profile. To do this go to the page you wish to have appear on your other networking profiles then click bookmark at the very top right hand menu and select the particular network or networks that you are on. Instant Messenger
Instant Messenger (IM) is a way of having a private live chat with your community friends. Click on instant messenger on the very top menu, when the window pops up a list of available friends to IM with will appear. Select the friend you wish to IM and when they respond you will be able to start typing and seeing each others messages 'instantly'.

Blogs
This is so simple you will laugh all night that you might have been terrified of this 'Blog thing'. The kids will be impressed too. All you need to do is think of a topic, easy enough. Then under 'My Account' select 'Submit Items' and select 'Write Blog'. Then fill in the title and start writing the content. Too easy! Press submit and you are published. Wow!

Groups & Polls
Groups are a way of sharing information about specific topic that might not be of interest to the whole community. Visit and browse through the groups, when you see one you like click on join group. Polls are often running on the site, they can't be turned off but stop appearing once you have voted in the active polls. Both are a bit of fun as much as anything else.

Events
Upcoming events our members are involved in such as small business programs, volunteer projects or coffee mornings. It is also there to enable service providers to the WAHM community to notify you of important events that you may need to be aware of or you may wish to attend. Inappropriate events will be removed by admin.

Quizzes & Gallery
Quizzes and gallery are just a way of having a bit of fun. Feel free to create your own quizzes for other members to try and share your beautiful photos with us all.
