Hire My Mum on ABC Radio
Posted On 05/02/2010 14:42:39 by HMMAdmin

Today was a really fun day, I was invited to the ABC studios in Sydney to record a returning to work piece with the focus on Hire My Mum.

Leigh Kostiainen at ABC Studios

That's me in the ABC Studios

After missing the driveway for the studio I made a loop around the block and came back to the driveway entrance ... and the heavens opened. If I hadn't missed the driveway on the first go I would have made it inside nice and dry. But alas, so all I could this was thank heavens this is radio. I think I have a better complexion for radio anyway

After checking in with the front desk security

I made my way up to my 'tardis' (it's a radio term we radio folks use LOL ), the recording room where I donned my headphones and had time for a few picies.

My interview was with Penny Johnson, who is a recently returned to work new mum herself. We had a great chat about the options available to mums, the pitfall of scam jobs, how employers can trust the work from home workforce and how mums are a very grateful employee/contractor.

As soon as the audio is available I will put it on here for you to listen too. At present it is going to be aired around regional Victoria, so hopefully some of Vic ladies can let us know if they here it

Cheers
Leigh Kostiainen

PS: Penny just called me to say that the interview is going to be made available Australia wide, how awesome is that. Be sure to let know if you hear it.

In recent years, online shopping has become popular; however, it still caters to the middle and upper class. In order to shop online, one must be able to have access to a computer, a bank account and a debit card. Shopping has evolved with the growth of technology. According to research found in the Journal of Electronic Commerce, if one focuses on the demographic characteristics of the in-home shopper, in general, the higher the level of education, income, and occupation of the head of the household, the more favourable the perception of non-store shopping., Enrique.(2005) The Impact of Internet User Shopping Patterns and Demographics on Consumer Mobile Buying Behaviour.
